Salt & Light Ministries is undergoing some leadership changes in 2010!

This international family of leaders and churches grew around the leadership and fatherhood of Barney Coombs in the late 1970’s. Our growth was organic, as a number of leaders started to gather around Barney for pastoral care and apostolic input. This has grown into an international family of several different apostolic spheres, joined through the relationship of leaders.

Having led our international team for around 30 years, Barney senses it is God’s time to stand back from the overall leadership responsibility. He and the team have asked Steve Thomas to take responsibility for leading the International Team, and this change will be effective from the beginning of 2010. Steve is based in Oxfordshire, UK, and leads the European team.

Barney will obviously remain part of our family of leaders and churches, and will continue to minister and bless churches and leaders!

There is to be a gathering of invited international leaders in Oxford, UK, from October 5th-8th 2010, to seek God for his vision and direction for the future, and plan accordingly.

This gathering will conclude with a service of thanksgiving and recognition of Barney’s ministry amongst us for the last thirty years. This will take place on 9th October, at The King’s Centre, Oxford, UK (time and further details to be announced). We believe that it is right for us to honour Barney’s ministry and leadership amongst us in this way. This is an open meeting (further details to be announced soon) and all are welcome.
