The team aims:

• to give Jesus Christ his rightful place in educational training
• to promote the vision for Christian education and the planting of schools in our family of churches
• to raise standards in our schools through teacher-training, conferences, inspections etc.
• to raise current issues from the field of education
• to report regularly on work done whilst representing CRI in other nations e.g. Africa, India, Kazakhstan
• to network more widely with Christian educators. This is largely done through the UK-based Christian Schools’ Trust, of which David is the Assistant Director

At the suggestion of the EAT David Freeman has also formed a national education team currently comprising 11 members who represent 4 other church groups as well as Salt and Light; one of which is a London-based Afro-Caribbean community. This team is in regular contact but also holds two retreats per year seeking God for vision and strategy. The same team also acts as the Policy and Development team for CST.
