West Coast Leaders Conference
After two really fruitful and joyful weeks of travelling with smaller teams in Finland and East Sweden, where we were very encouraged with the growth and development that we found in the Churches, we then arrived in Gothenburg to minister in the West Coast Leaders Conference.
220 leaders from West Sweden, Denmark, and Norway came together for Relationship, Equipping and the Presence of God. Dave and Chris Richards, and Buck Hudson joined the team, led by Christian and Pernilla Wendesten, Hakan and Gunilla Gniste, Kai and Lena Serholt, and Janne Saafe, who are all part of the Nordic team and then Frank and Betina joined us from Copenhagen.
Christian opened the gathering with "Equipping for ministry". Then Dave followed with, "How do we recognise Apostles today?" Buck spoke with real revelation on "Understanding the difference between the Prophet and those who prophesy", whilst Chris was powerful speaking on "The attitudes needed to work together in team". We had six very helpful equipping seminars and all in all nine new speakers participated, which was thrilling for us, as we seek to develop others.
The worship reached remarkable heights on the Friday evening, reaching a place we have not gone to before in these gatherings. It was so good to see Hakan leading this meeting with Buck!
We hit a deep vein in the Spirit as we experienced an outbreak of prophetic singing from the Norwegian Per Soertorp, (who is Norway's "Michael Smith.") and Lena Loebner from Denmark.
This released some of the Swedes, and Arne Liden's, wife Kaiser, brought some very creatively sung prophetic Words of Knowledge which really ministered healing to people. There was a tremendous outpouring of His presence, with a mighty sound and people got so blessed! The praise seemed torrential!
On the Saturday night, Ricard Svensson and Kai Serholt dovetailed together to posture us for our future "Following Jesus through Pressure" and moving out missionally, following the Ark of His Presence. Once more, great worship followed, as people met with God.
The meeting was well over three hours old when it ended up with high praise in 'Boogy' style and the place was rocking!
The great thing about this conference was that it was multi-national and multi-racial. Latinos, many African Nations, Finns, Danes, Norwegians, all worshipping Jesus and serving Him together.
Now Dave heads for Uddevalla for two days before sailing to Sandefjord inNorway, where he joins Buck for two days with the newly gathering Norwegian Leaders, before driving South for the weekend in Jonkoping, Sweden.
Exciting days following Jesus in the Nordic Regions!
