A family on mission – our vision!
First and foremost we're a family of churches joined through strong relationships between leaders. Families grow organically, develop diversely and can look quite distinct in different parts of the family, but its still family!
Actually, we’re an international family. Links spread into many nations. We have family values and vision that unite us. But three statements express our heart and vision:
Equipping the Church
Jesus loves the church! He wants to pour out his life into the world through his church. We believe in strong and healthy local churches, and therefore we are committed to supporting, encouraging and equipping the churches. Each church has its own flavour yet maintains a sense of being joined together in common values and purpose, as well as strong friendship.
Conferences, ministry tracks (i.e. worship, youth, evangelism etc) and personal support for local leaders, are all ways that we aim to equip the church, as well as through the ongoing support and input of the different apostolic teams.
Extending the Kingdom
The Kingdom of God is bigger than the church. God’s rule extends far beyond the boundaries of church life and church meetings! It is encouraging these days to see a stronger emphasis on the Kingdom in the workplace and in community. People in our churches are becoming increasingly influential in a broad spectrum of life, such as politics, business, education and community service. Approximately 3 years ago, at a leadership gathering, we were given a prophetic word challenging us to live up to our name:, ‘Salt and Light’; in other words to make a difference in our cities, towns, villages and workplaces.
Wherever we are located, we can see God’s kingdom extended through our words and actions. It is thrilling when we establish or ‘plant’ new churches with the specific intention of reaching out in fresh ways to those who desperately need to experience some ‘Good News’! Many committed people have been ready to re-locate to completely new communities in order to see new churches started.
Blessing the Nations
It’s great to belong to an international family! We are joined together with churches on just about every continent and this has given us a much broader perspective over the years. More recently, we have been responding to another clear prophetic word, concerning Europe. The call is for the churches in the UK not to neglect the great mission field of Europe. Subsequently, there has been a much stronger focus amongst us on thinking European, working alongside churches in countries such as France, Spain, Estonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, Germany and others.
The benefit of this is not one-way! We have thoroughly appreciated the richness of working in other languages and cultures - including the wide variety of food! We want to do all we can to bless other nations.
